About Me

I have always been interested in nutrition, and my mission is to educate Oklahomans of all ages about healthy eating and the resources that are available. Through learning and engagement in the Community Nutrition Education Program (CNEP), I help clients gain valuable knowledge about nutrition, physical activity, food resource management, food security, food safety and food preparation.

The CNEP curriculum is based on USDA researched-based material using the My Plate model, which suggests half of your plate should be made up of fruits and vegetables. I teach My Plate food groups for participants to use for meal times and snacks, help with menu planning and share healthy recipes they can cook for their families. Additionally, we emphasize selfcare and discuss ways to reduce grocery costs and the benefits of incorporating exercise into daily life.
