About Me
In my role as a nutrition education assistant in Coal County, my mission is to help limited-income families make nutritious decisions with the income they have and help strengthen their relationship with food and resource management. Healthy habits begin at a young age and I strive to shape the youth into being the healthiest generation yet in the United States. My role works closely with first to 12th grade students on nutrition education during the school year in Coal and Atoka counties. Additionally, I educate low-income adults and youth during the summer at the Coal County Library regarding nutrition, food safety and food preparation. I received my associate degree in health, wellness and human performance from Murray State College in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.
