Areas of Expertise
I am a teacher at heart, and it is natural for me to want to help educate youth and adults who also love to learn. I like to provide educational and leadership development opportunities through programs such as 4-H, Oklahoma Home and Community Education (OHCE), Women in Agriculture and Annie’s Project, which focuses on helping women gain agricultural expertise.
I serve as the advisor for six OHCE groups and provide educational programs for them monthly, as well as organize special events. I also allocate half of my time to 4-H, so I organize 4-H competitions and events throughout the year and assist with service projects and Teen Leaders. I have a lot of appreciation for the variety of opportunities that OHCE and 4-H bring to their members.
Through OSU Extension, I am pleased to be able to provide a variety of programming to meet the ever-changing needs of our local community. I received my bachelor of science degree in vocational home economics education (1979) and a master of science degree in education with an emphasis in family and consumer sciences from Southwestern Oklahoma State University (1991).
